Crystal Shapes, Explained

Once a stone chooses you, there's a second question nobody warns you about: which shape? The same crystal comes as a tower, a sphere, a palm stone, a raw cluster — and the shape genuinely changes how you'll live with it. Here's the plain-spoken version of what each form is traditionally for.

⬆ Towers & Points

The exclamation mark of the crystal world. A tower (or "point") is cut to direct energy upward and outward — traditionally used as the centerpiece of an altar, a desk, or a room you want focused and lifted. If you want one statement piece that anchors a space, this is the classic answer. Browse our towers and specimens.

● Spheres

A sphere sends its energy evenly in every direction — no point, no hierarchy, just presence. Traditionally the shape of harmony and completeness (and yes, of crystal balls — scrying is just focused daydreaming with better lighting). Spheres also show off a stone's patterns like nothing else. They want a stand and a spot where light finds them.

🤲 Palm Stones & Tumbles

The workhorses. A palm stone is shaped for exactly one thing: being held. Tumbles are their pocket-size cousins. These are the crystals that actually get used — carried, worried smooth, reached for during hard phone calls. If you're starting out, start here: ourtumbles and pocket stones are the most affordable door into the whole practice.

✦ Clusters & Raw Specimens

Nature's own arrangement — dozens of points grown together exactly as the earth made them, uncut and unpolished. Traditionally, clusters radiate into a whole room and "recharge" the smaller stones set beside them. These are the one-of-a-kind pieces of the shop: everyspecimen is photographed individually because no two exist.

〰 Freeforms

Polished, but following the stone's own lines rather than a geometric mold — somewhere between sculpture and geology. Freeforms are display pieces with soul: they do what towers do, more casually. Wonderful when you want presence without formality.

♡ Hearts, Moons & Carvings

Shape as intention: a heart carries love-energy on its face, a moon carries the night's, and our beloved creatures — ghosts, bats, the occasional labradorite UFO — carry joy, which is criminally underrated as a spiritual goal. Carvings make the best gifts because the shape says the thing you mean. Wander thecarvings and curiosities.

The honest secret: the "right" shape is the one you'll actually keep close. A tumble in your pocket beats a tower in a drawer, every time.
